How does Turritap actually work?
Turritap uses biomimetic spiral geometry inspired by Turritella shells. When water passes through the device, it creates a natural vortex that transforms water into microbubble structure. This increases extraction efficiency—making coffee taste more nuanced, tea more vibrant, and wine more complex. No filters, no chemistry, just physics.

We recommend fitting the Turritap as close as possible to the point where the water comes out of the pipe. There are two reasons for this.

1. The microbubble effect
Measurements show that the microbubbles slowly begin to disappear after three hours. Like all bubbles, they also rise. If the Turritap is fitted early in the system, for example where the water enters your home, the bubbles will rise in the pipework and the effect of the Turritap will be lost. To still enjoy the full effect of the Turritap at your tap or shower, you would first have to run a lot of water through the system.

2. Water flow
The Turritap narrows the water channel, which slightly reduces the flow. When fitted to the mains supply, this can be noticeable.

Our advice
Fit the Turritap as close to the outlet as possible. This is why the Turritap Original attaches directly to the end of the tap. The Turritap Inline works well when fitted in the cupboard under your kitchen sink or connected to your shower hose.

Yes. The Inline Filter system uses carbon block filters that need to be replaced every 12 month. These filters are available in our store.  Turritap on itself has no filters to replace. The ceramic core is lifetime—it never wears out. 
The filter’s service life is related to water quality. If the flow rate is significantly reduced or if the water has a peculiar smell, we suggest that you replace the filter.
Yes. Turritap is ISO 6486-1 food-safe compliant. The ceramic core is non-toxic and doesn’t release any chemicals into water. All materials are food-grade. It’s designed to optimize water structure, not filter contaminants, so use it with already-clean tap water or filtered water.
