The technology behind the Turritap swirl: microbubbles

Own the swirl. Feel the microbubbles.

The technology behind the Turritap swirl: microbubbles — tiny bubbles of around 1 µm. They change the texture of water. They increase the concentration of air in the water. No magic, just physics — driven by the swirling motion of the water.

That swirl is created inside a precision-engineered ceramic core. A hard, smooth surface through which the water flows, built on millions of years of evolution and 10 years of scientific research.

Compare with what you know

  • For the best coffee experience, you can buy bottled spring water of your choice;
  • You can also use filtered water, with a filter you’ll recognise from barista forums, such as an activated carbon filter;
  • You can fit a Turritap to your tap water for microbubbles — one you’ll never need to replace, because it’s built to last and made from ceramic;
  • Or you install a filter and a Turritap together for the ultimate water experience.

Turritap doesn’t replace a filter — it enhances water through the swirl after your filter. The microbubbles work regardless of which drinking water you use.

Water, enriched.

The high concentration of microbubbles creates a temporary increase in dissolved oxygen levels. These changes in texture and taste are simply the result of physical gas-liquid interactions during the three hours the bubbles remain in the water. It’s a physical basis for a subjective experience.

That’s why Turritap water is also ideal for sporting moments. The water is perceived as ‘lighter’, ‘fresher’ and ‘easier to drink’. As a trained athlete, you’ll know exactly how to interpret that difference.

From cycling to strength, from training to yoga — water is the foundation. Turritap makes that foundation better.

The choice is yours

As a discerning user, you trust your own experience. So: order the Turritap. Install it. Test it on your espresso machine. Compare with and without. 30 days to make up your mind. If you don’t notice the difference? Full refund. Simple.

But we know you will notice. Because you pay attention to detail and you’re curious. Because you’re trained to recognise microbubbles in taste and sensation.
